Using Subcategories
Well stick with the items from our first example: the three different coloured soccer balls. To these three items we will add for Example 2, handballs. One of the handballs is red, the other is blue. A click on preview would sort both handballs in the existing categories "red" and "blue".
In order to bring more order to your items, we can install two subfolders underneath the home category. Here it now makes sense to deactivate the automatic setup of a simple rule. A "soccer ball" category and a "handball" category. In the next step, we will move the already existing categories "red", "blue" and "green" under the category "soccer balls". Click on each of the three categories and choose "Move folder". Click now on the destination categorythe new "football" category. Confirm the move by clicking again on "move folder".
Establish now two new subfolders underneath the "handballs" folder: "red" and "blue". In the rules, it is now required to make the sorting rules more precise. This menu option is reached from the main menu. There should now be three rules visible for sorting in the colour subfolder for soccer balls. Click on each individual rule and change the condition in the display windo to "with all specified words". Change now the upper text field from "red" to "soccer, red". Repeat this for the other two colours. With this, the rule says, that only items in which the words "soccer ball" and red appear will be sorted into the chosen category. The destination category should be "Soccerballs, red"
Finally, is necessary to set up two new rules for the different handball colours. To do this, click on "add a rule". Choose as a condition, "with all specified words". Add "handball, red" to the upper text field and choose the destination category "Handballs, red". Repeat this for the colour "blue".
